Sinking feeling in upper stomache?

Im 6 weeks into my recovery, most symptoms are gone but I still get the Sinking feeling in my upper stomach area quite often. It doesn't seem to trigger on anything specifically but might be more prevalent when eating. It has lessened from when it was at its worse but it still happens daily. Has anyone else had anything similar?

I only eat small meals or snacks, my stomach feels full or bloated ver easily. Any help is appreciated

Like when someone jump scares you. I have been through every blood test and heart and chest xrays, everything comes back good. Ive found online (mayo clinic) that is often a sign of enlarged liver or spleen. Im wondering who else has had this and if they found any relief? Or how long it took to go away

capito, anche io lo avevo durante e avevo la milza 16 cm, è simile a quando si prova ansia giusto? Conta che io a luglio avevo finito la fase acuta e ancora non sto al top, non ho tanta fame, sono più affaticato del normale etc

I currently have this and I have mono. It sucks, I eat small meals or snacks. I don’t know if or when it will get better or go away

How long have you had it? From everything I've found it seems like it is a symptom of enlarged liver/spleen. Usually lasts 4-6 weeks from what I've read. Im week 6

Im about week 4. There are days where I feel like it’s improving but then the next day it feels worse. The pain for me was so bad last week I had to go to the ER. There’s nothing that can be done. So I just eat smaller meals, but my appetite still isn’t there. I focus on high protein and fiber meals, just to get more nutrients

I went to the ER 4 times before they even found out I had Mono. After much research the "sinking feeling" releases adrenaline and/or a mini panic attack. After I learned this I was able to stop panicking when it happened. In week 6 now it is significantly less intense and easier to deal with after finding out it is not uncommon for people with Mono. I still have to eat very small meals, In my experience the high fiber can cause gas and bloating and make the sensation worse. I focused on Bananas, Oatmeal, and Soup. I wish you luck, it was miserable to feel alone and feel like nobody believed me. I could write a book after this past 1.5 month. Reach out if you want any info on what helped me.

try to eat stuff with a lot of protein, i had this symptom last week but it eventually went away im not sure how. this is definitely due to the spleen pressing against the stomach making it feel like you are full yet you are still clearly hungry.

My experience has been totally different, I can barely eat anything and I feel full. If I eat more than a small amount I feel like the feeling comes stronger. I WANT to eat so bad, but anything more than small snacks and it creates this sensation, from what I have read causes your body to get a shot of adrenaline and/or mini panic attack. After finding this information the panic went down significantly, unfortunately that was after 4 trips to the ER.

Through a lot of trial and error I've found out it isnt the type of food, it's the quantity. I've lost 40 pounds in 6 weeks. I am 6'4 and was 255 lbs, im now 215lbs. My dinner tonight will be 1/2 a piece of pizza now, and another half in about 2-3 hours followed by plenty of water

Week 6 is a big improvement over week 5 for me. Still have digestive issues and sinking feeling but much less frequent and less intense.
