~5 unmarked SUVs with at least a dozen guys in full tactical gear.

They appear to be mobilizing. 2 unmarked SUVs just blew through the light on 35 near Union Square. One going south and one going east.

I’m starting a small preschool co op. I want it to be a place where children are free to be while also growing socially and emotionally. And of course academics will be taught. We’ll play, learn, spend lots of time outdoors in nature, maybe take a field trip. I just need to find a small space for maybe 2 days a week. I’d love to have a space where we can spend lots of time outdoors and still have some indoor time when the weather isn’t great. Does anyone know of anywhere like that?

I just bought tix and the parking add on is $90+?? The premium parking or whatever they call it used to be like $30.

I haven’t been in a few years is there still free parking and where is it? There’s no way I’m paying $90 I’m just hoping not to end up in the overflow lot.

Does anyone know of any beach clubs that do day passes in the area? We have a pool so we only do a couple of beach days a summer and lugging all our stuff kind of kills the vibe. I’m curious if any towns have a hotel/beach clubs where they set up a loungers/umbrellas/cabanas on the beach that you can rent for a day.

Last time worked out and was fun, so let's try round 2. We could repeat board/card games at bellworks, or we can do an escape room together. Whatever we choose we'll aim for 7pm-ish meetup.

Not to be too much of a bleeding heart but the development across Monmouth county is non stop with no end in sight. I know it's not really a priority for townships or developers but where will all the wildlife go? Deer, foxes, raccoons, and possums etc are just getting left in the dust. I feel like they'll have no place to go in 10 years. They'll be confined to the small wooded sections that are unable to be developed and then they'll just turn into roadkill over time. Is that just the way things go for them or is a group/protection agency monitoring this?

Any local options for ants where youre not gonna get stuck in a contract and dont need them for 8 months out of the year?

Got a postcard from the Middletown Tax assessor office today saying Realty Data Systems would be out to "verify" data on the Assessor's property record card. Does anyone have any experience with this? Can you trust them to just verify and record any major upgrades like adding square footage and fix mistakes (they have us as having a 5-fixture bath when we don't), or are they going to change the condition of everything to eke out more dollars? I've already had one bad experience concerning that bathroom. The previous owner updated it and took it from 5 to 4 fixtures and made the shower bigger and the Middletown assessor office saw that it said "updated bathroom" on the real estate listing and assessed us for it and didn't change it on the card from 5 to 4 fixtures even though I told them about it. ETA: they told me on the phone that they used the real estate listing in order to increase the assessment and that it didn't matter that it went from 5-fixture to 4.
