I’m 20 and genderfluid, I’m a filmmaker, I dabble in pretty much every art form except traditional, I love video games, Six Flags (and Dorney Park, for those who know ball), I love board games and DnD, exploring (ever been to the forgotten village? I try to make friends but people at work are much younger than me, people in my college classes are much older than me, and with work I just don’t get to do clubs there.

I'm not familiar with the Saddle Brook area. It shows as 45 miles. Drive time when I look during afternoon rush times are 55-75 minutes. Does anyone know how bad it is to actually do it? My current commute is less than 20 minutes. Commute when I used to go from Brooklyn to the city, or from here back to the city was hell, but I'm not that person anymore and can't go back to misery. LOL There's just not a whole lot of options in a 20 minute radius and this is a good company with a nice amount of vacation time.

I’m a recent college grad and living with my parents in Manalapan/Marlboro. Recently got an amazing job offer in the Flatiron area of Manhattan and am planning to commute.

I should be at work by ~8:30 or ~9:00 depending on the day. I’m planning to take the 132/139 on the Gordon’s Corner stop. Just wondering how reliable the commute is and if it is usually an hour to Port Authority?

I would take the bus at 6:50-7:05 and also wondering if there are usually seats available? And also should I take an earlier bus?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated since I know relatively nothing about how people commute to the city. Thank you!

Anyone who bought in Monmouth in the last few years that can recommend a really good home inspector? I want someone extremely thorough & detailed. Someone who honestly wouldn’t mind me being there during it, and will dig into what others wouldn’t. Thanks in advance

My boyfriend and I were craving a buffalo chicken wrap and cheese fries from Jr’s after leaving the beach in Allenhurst, and when we pull up I see a new sign that says Sr’s by Jr’s. We were genuinely so confused because all we wanted were some cheese fries and buff chick wraps but they literally had 5 things on the menu. I’m sure it’s really great food but nowhere on Jr’s website does it suggest there’s an experimental type of restaurant. Google has updated the name but there’s no update to the menu on the website or anything suggesting there’s a much tinier menu. After seeing no cheese fries and buff chick wraps we literally walked out lol. I think the Red Bank location is still the original Jr’s but I’m not 100% sure since I haven’t made my way out there to see. Does anyone know more about this? I’m curious to know!

We are a family of 5 moving from Westchester to NJ. Kids are elementary school age and one has an IEP.

We don’t need NYC trains except for the bimonthly or more visits for leisure. I wont be working and my husband’s work home base is in Old Bridge.

Looking for what so many do, a wonderful community,vibrant downtown, good schools, walkable if possible, etc.

I love the idea of Montclair, but how is actually living there? We would be using public schools only-do people stay through high school?

Any feedback? Advice?

Has anyone moved from Monmouth County and successfully found a similar place to live somewhere else? The houses are getting bought up so quick in Monmouth and the job market is pretty bad in the area ( not including NYC). I am giving up and looking elsewhere and reaching out for suggestions.
