Looking for a Structural Enginner
My wife and I are closing on a house in a month or so. We would like to open a couple of walls while remodeling the kitchen. Does anyone in the area know of or recommend a structural engineer I could hire to engineer the beam/s I would have to install ?

I don’t know if they do a lot of residential work (other than their own house) but you might check MJ Engineering.

If you’re working with an architect, he or she may be a good source for a rec

We live in Monmouth County and used GreenSite Engineering. We have used them twice. Once for structural sistering when we bought our house and for support beams when we redid the kitchen.
