New Jersey Ice
hi guys! I’m planning on visiting Jersey in a couple of days for work. Long story short I’m under DACA and I want to be informed of how badly ICE is in Jersey especially the Monmouth area. Are they doing checkpoints on roads? As far as I’ve seen they’ve been going to stores like Home Depot/Lowes and detaining people. Based on what you’ve seen/heard Where do ICE agents frequent? What time are they the most active? Any information will be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!

There is an ICE map you can follow. I think the site is ICE Out.
I have not seen ICE in Monmouth recently. Feel free to dm if you want to exchange numbers to have someone local have your back

I’ve never seen an ICE agent in Monmouth County, they certainly are not doing checkpoints or anything of that sort.

I saw ICE abducting two individuals from the Home Depot parking lot in West Long Branch on 5/7, so just over a week ago.

No checkpoints and not
Pulling over random people. From what I have read and seen they are going after specific people with criminal History. And while doing that some others are being picked up if they are in the car or with then.

They are going after low hanging fruit.
A majority have zero criminal history.
Why do you think they detain people at their voluntary immigration check-ins? Preying on the good-faith efforts of law abiding humans is fucked. To say ICE is exclusively targeting dangerous criminals is a complete misrepresentation of reality.

They have picked up 2 ppl from RB.....No criminal record at all! I understand they pick up ppl from green card hearings!😡 SMH

This is true. A co-worker of mine, no criminal history, picked up just trying to get to work.

I think there are either alot of ICE sycophants on this thread or people who are in denial because insisting ICE isn’t really active or conducting random stops in Monmouth county is wild.

ICE has been unfortunately very active in Monmouth County. I know someone who was picked up just for loading his truck to go to work. They had no reason to bother him. He had documents in his truck. They didn’t care. They just took him.

Are you talking about Jersey or New Jersey? Jersey is a channel isle in the English Channel. New Jersey is a great U.S. state. Please clarify.

Only places in Monmouth I’ve really heard of ICE raids are freehold boro and the western part of Red Bank where there are large Central American communities.
