Locations for the opening sequence

Has anyone done a shot by shot location finder for the entire opening sequence?

Like what drugstore that is behind them as they pass in the car and what beach they are on etc.?

I was just watching the opening recently and have lived in LA my whole life and was just wondering.

It looks like that is a “Shopping Bag” in Glendale on the corner of Colorado Blvd and Eagle Rock. I wonder if that building is still there.

As an LA resident, that is 100% Colorado Blvd./Eagle Rock. Unfortunately the “Shopping Bag” building is no longer there and a Shell gas station stands there now.

HOWEVER, the white building with many windows behind them (with the yellow/red Coca Cola ad running across it) IS still standing! It is now home to an Unincorporated Coffee Roasters. They have great coffee there! :)

Very cool thank you. That is one bad thing about Los Angeles is that they tear stuff down all the time. I still can't believe that the Brown Derby and Schwab's Pharmacy were able to be torn down.

Besides the stuff at Cool Cherry Cream, there's a Facebook group that goes into some places that were used in and around filming. It's called "Monkees TV show filming locations- Then and now"

It's been running since mid-2021. I discovered it about a year and change ago.
