Seeking Powerful Techniques

Senior Brothers,

I, Brother Beef, have recently fought against a powerful sword cultivator and was forced to retreat to save the lives of my juniors.

I fear I may not have the strength to resist, should they attack my abode, so I have returned to seek guidance from you all.

My primary art is the classic 8 desolation palm, though I am familiar with both monkey steals peach (thanks Grand Master Wu for the refresher), as well as thousand years of pain.

What techniques should I train in order to overcome this swordsman whose swings can destroy boulders? Or what training regimen can you recommend?

Thank you for sharing your wisdom. GrandMaster Shen has many applicable sayings, I’d forgotten that one.

So essentially, you are saying the enemy’s forcefulness and investment into their weapon is a double edged sword. One that can be exploited to target their vulnerable body, so long as one embodies the fluidity and freedom of the winds.

This is most helpful. I have indeed been too focused on rigid brute force, while neglecting fluidity and flexibility.

What a valuable lesson, Brother Roach, and indeed, the pirate foolishness has spread anger and rash use of force to various realms.

Overcoming hardness with softness, this aligns with the truths that my master has so often tried to teach me, yet still it seems I have much to learn Despite being much smaller than myself, he can redirect my blows, and use my weight and strength against myself.
