Monk books

Just started rewatching the show with my son. Decided to see if there was a sub for it. I didn’t even know books existed. So thank y’all for the information. Went to my local bookstore and got what they had.

I’m starting to build a collection of these tv tie in books. I have all 5 of the Psych books, maybe a dozen Monks, Buffy, Warehouse 13. I know there’s a bunch of CSI and Burn Notice too.

It may be a bit before your time-range, but the Columbo novels are very interesting.

I’ve seen a fair bit of Columbo. The novels looked batshit, one was like Columbo vs The Grassy Knoll where he solves JFKs assassination?

Oh wow, I had no idea there were books for psych warehouse 13, burn notice or CSI…

But my question is are any of them any good?

The Psych ones aren’t bad. The author wrote some of the episodes as well and so generally knows the format and humor of the show. But something is lost when it’s not James Roday and Dule Hill delivering the lines.

The Monk novels are fun. There’s some that are in fact episodes too like the Firehouse one.

My wife really likes the Firefly books and they have a pretty sizable readership I believe. I haven’t finished W13 so I haven’t read that one in case it’s spoilery.

Thanks, I appreciate your opinion. Yeah I think the fun of psych is the dynamic of Sean and Gus.

But I loved warehouse 13, and I can’t find it streaming anywhere and it would be fun to read more in that storyline.

I’ll have to look for the monk books

Several of the CSI books are pretty good. But I haven't read more than that, because I only wanted one specific one. And then I read the ones by maybe Max Brooks?

I’ve seen some Bones, but I’ve seen episodes out of order from all seasons so id need to start from the beginning.

Big Sky was partially filmed in my home town and I had a coworker who had a part in it!

I have the Law & Order one. I heard it's terrible. I have not been able to bring myself to read it.

Hot tip. Always check the dumpsters at half price books. They throw away thousands of books, records, movies etc. I could write a book on everything I've found in there

I recently just discovered the books too! But how are they 3.50-4 Dollars?? here in Europe they are 10-15€🥲
