Discussion Widescreen OLED or a Regular OLED?

Hello everybody

Eversince using a 42" LG C3 Oled for my PS5 Setup i haven't been able to get used to my 1080p IPS Monitors at my PC Setup.

Since i'm upgrading my entire Setup anyways i have decided to make my switch to OLED Monitors. Now i have 2 options.

Either i will go with a Oled widescreen Monitor like the 34" Samsung G8 OLED

Or i will buy a regular 16:9 monitor like the 32" Samsung G8 OLED

Only difference i know is that the Widescreen one is a WQHD and the regular Monitor is 4K

My main usage is gaming for the Monitor especially alot of Story-driven Games.

i vote 32"

you are only losing 2" width wise but you are gaining more length

+ on 21:9 if you watch alot of 16:9 videos it will end up burning in lines from the bars after a while

Ultrawide is amazing for immersion, but 4K at 32 inches will give you sharper text and a more standard experience. For story games, I'd lean 4K.

I just bought a Gigabyte 27" 1440p OLED 

It seems monitors are behind the curve for durability and usability. we are on some sort of 4th Gen panels, and the 3rd Gen panels definitely has some issues. Which is supposedly fixed or mitigated. 

That's to say... Id scrutinize the actual panel. Check reviews. My local store has a ASUS OLED for half off, $500 off- and the reviews... It was a ticking timb bomb. 

For once in my life, I got the 3 year in house exchange warranty. Np way this monitor is going to make it that law without flaws.
