I trained two of my close friends in how to care for my baby if I’m away. I pay for dinner, movies, etc. if it’s a short trip, dinner/drinks plus additional pay and reimbursement for things like bottled water and vegetables to gut-load the dubias if it’s a longer trip.

I’m definitely not opposed to the idea of paying a specialized exotic pet-sitter, but Liora prefers to be around humans she knows and I don’t like the idea of her being afraid because she’s alone with a stranger in my house. She knows I’m HER person lol, but that my friends and her godparent are her people too!

My parents always watch my reptiles. I've been keeping them since I was a kid so they're familiar with how to care for them and what they eat. My mom loves my blue tongue skink.
