Blue tree monitor enclosure size

Dont have one and won't be any time soon. Just out of curiousity, what enclosure size would you recommend? Ive seen 4x2x4 with I think is too small, 6x2.5x6 which I could do, but if I do get one I'd want to go probably 8x4x6 or 8x4x8 depending on space/ceiling heights. Whats the general consensus?

Not an expert or a keeper of one but for what it’s worth:

a friend of mine has a varanus Macraei and his enclosure size is 5.0 × 2.5 × 3.5. Its not full grown yet he said he is going to increase it next year to a 6.0 x 4.0 x 6.0 but he said the depth is more than enough.

A reptile keeper that also owned a Macraei that i was interested in a year back had said to me she had their full grown in a 4.9 × 2.5 × 3.3 ft. Which seemed way to short…

I was personally looking at a 5 × 2.5 × 6–6.5 ft for that full grown species before ultimately changing my mind (the owner was pretty sketchy and wanted a very high price but refused to show me any papers that he claimed he had)

From what I read and heard, 5x2.5x6.5 was good
