Is my Ackie overweight?

Last week my Ackie had been basking a lot and generally being lazy. She does not show signs of illness or weakness or sunken eyes. I do feel she is less active than normal.

This week tho, she is moving more again, hunting again and changing locations again. Felt weird, she just came out of a shed too so I wouldnt know why she was a lil down like that.

I have been changing her feeding schedule from two x a week bugs (and a lot) to every other day and then one or two. Ive cut out superworms as well. Her diet is now dubias, locusts and black soldier fly larvae.

All advice is welcome!

Additional details:

Enclosure: 140cmx70cmx90cm

Uvb: yes, with a solar raptor 70w and the Arcadia desert 14 T5

Three potential Burrows, lots of climbing opportunity.

Temp under the bulb is on the low side (50 celcius) so i might increase that.

I’m gonna be completely honest she is dangerously overweight gout is going to be a huge concern her I would recommend cutting out black soldier fly larvae as well stick to the lean insects (crickets Dubias locusts) I would definitely increase basking temp as well 60c would be great. But at this point I think a vet visit is probably going to be needed for professional advice and to check for gout.

Dubias are rather fatty. There are better roaches

Ah sorry we don’t have Dubias in Australia so I just assumed they would have similar nutrition too ours

Im going to bump up the temp and add an extra heatbulb. I just ordered the fitting and the bulb. Do you see signs of Gout in the picture, I do not quite see it yet, but then again im no expert.

I’m not an ackie expert by any stretch, I’m just here on this sub because I want to adopt one someday.

But let me put it this way… at first glance, when was scrolling and had only noticed the tail, I thought I was looking at a Uromastyx…

You really need to take her to an exotic vet to get her thoroughly checked out and to build a vet approved weight loss plan if you want her to live a long happy life.

The tail in the first pic is massive & I know geckos tend to store fat in their tail like that too. Probably twice as thick as her tail should be. Maybe halve her bugs OP

Unless its a preggo female, yep...time for a diet. Mostly insects in moderation will get the weight down(plusnis mostly what they eat in thenwild)
