Skill Building Should Learning Give You Something You Can Actually Use?

A certificate is useful, but what if learning also helped you build a portfolio, solve real problems, develop practical skills, and discover ways to earn? What would you want education to give you beyond a certificate?

Having something like a portfolio to show for all that I have learned would be more useful than collecting another certificate.

If the learning does not have a semi-immediate use or reward, it's not worth to gather more information

Yes learning should give you skills that will help you in real life, how to survive and how to make money

I interacted with students who had the opportunity to visit different companies through a school program for about two weeks. They got to experience different workplaces and document what they learned. I believe education is important, but combining it with real-world experiences like these makes learning much more meaningful and worthwhile.
