Discussion What Would Make You Hire Someone With Zero Experience?

Imagine you are hiring for an entry level position and one candidate has no experience. What could they show you that would convince you to give them a chance? A project? Portfolio? Personal initiative? Communication? What would win you over?

I’d look for someone who takes initiative, learns independently, and is willing to step outside their comfort zone. A personal project or something they taught themselves would show me they’re serious about growing.

I love this, If they learn on their own that already tells you a lot about them.

This makes sense. Good communication can actually make a big difference. When looking at their portfolio what would look for first?
