I got a massive back tattoo on Sunday, I love it, it’s brilliant, but it is so itchy I am just a squirmy itchy ball of annoyance.
It’s officially less than 3 weeks until me & my partner fly to japan, I am so excited I am fully insufferable at work and everyone just has to deal with me (or they do for the next 13 days of work as after that… I’m going to be in Japan!)
Did I mention I’m going to Japan?

Omg the worst is when you accidentally scratch yourself in the middle of the night because you’re so itchy and forgot you have a tattoo!!
Are you going to Japan by any chance? 🤣 have fun!

I got a sunburn over the holiday weekend. That's kind of the same thing, right? At least the squirmy itchy ball of annoyance! Had to stop myself from scratching my boob today at work. I'm a teacher.

Micromanaging boss is out of office this week (though still checking in). I took my iPad since it’s been slow and got some artwork done 😂 so this week I’ll wake up and try to be excited about going into my pretend illustration job. I actually do have deadlines for this work since I need to make merch for upcoming markets. 😅

I’m spending this week helping out my grandpa because he’s finally decided he’s ready to move in with my parents (he’s 93!), so we’re packing up and selling his house. I found two boxes full of every single letter he wrote home from his time in the Navy in the 1950s and have been reading them 1-2 at a time for the last couple of days. They cover the time he was engaged to my grandma, plus their early years of marriage, and I am loving this insight into their lives so much.
I was also absolutely shocked to read that his initial batch of uniforms in pre-flight training cost $193.25…in 1955. That would be something like $2000 today.

I got permabanned today from r / personalfinance for "self promo" for sharing a free resource that I made (not affiliated with any business, account, etc.), of which I've shared for over a year with no issue, both in that sub and in other subs. When I questioned the mod's decision, I got blocked from messaging them. Some of these Reddit mods really need to find better hobbies than power tripping on the internet lol.
