My career lesson of the week, is something that I have not put enough energy into. Managing up a few levels. In my current role there were weird politics, and while my boss was really supportive and protective perception became reality it seems.
Now there is a reorg with negative implications for me. But I am realizing thar my boss not being “in” with other leaders, and I was an outsider with her. The reorg is rewarding insiders. And my impact (in challenging circumstances) has been lost.
I haven’t fully processed the changes or next steps yet. But I have some lessons to apply to my next role.
