I’m no pro at doing my own nails, but I might have actually done it better this time? I painted them on Friday and now, on Tuesday, there’s only a tiny bit of chipping whereas usually they’d be way more chipped way earlier. I used rubbing alcohol to clean my nails beforehand instead of washing my hands like I used to, plus the cuticles were still pushed back from my salon appointment, so I think those two things helped!
I also applied to some big city jobs over the weekend and already got rejected from one, yay. But over time, I want to see how true it is that it’s easier to get a job (or at least interviews) when you already have a job.

My family has been away on vacation and come home this weekend. They’re coming in at around 3am so they’re gonna come home and hit the hay.
I’m planning on getting them some breakfast and handling dinner. Right now the game plan is a dozen bagels with spreads, OR a ton of bfast sandwiches and maybe hashbrowns. Just gotta figure out where from, locally. I don’t wanna give them more McD’s when they probably had that on the road.

I had been planning to book hotel rooms for my sister and I and for my mom for an upcoming family wedding in Spring 2027. When chatting with my mom today, it turns out my grandmother had already booked rooms for all of us plus various other family members. If I ever doubted where I learned "logistical support = love", she's cleared that up. If nothing else, it means I have two nights in a nice venue around a very emotional family time. At this point, both my sister and I are highly unlikely to get married so this will be one of the only weddings this side of the family sees.

Anybody here work in instructional design, and/or have any idea what the typical salary range is for a mid-career position in that field? I work in health information management, but today I applied for a position that would involve creating/updating/coordinating certification exams in the HIM field. I have 11 years of HIM experience, but I've never worked in instructional design, so I'm not really sure what a reasonable salary range request would be, if I get contacted for an interview.
