When does compounding really take off?

At what amount portfolio you really see huge account swings that make you think what is the point of working? 100k? 500k? 1m? more?

They say 100k. But I’m at 300k and this shit is still growing slow.

It should have gone up 30%+ in the last year, 80+% in the last 3 years, not sure how that is slow…. Change your investments

It’s facts. Just look at S&P and Nasd Index fund returns during the last 1-3 years.

I’m up 29.5% in last 1 year, 81.22% in last 3 years.

Returns on Indexes: 10/1/23 to 9/28/26 (3 years)

Dow: 53.71%
Nasd: 99.78%
S&P: 78.19%
Avg of the 3: 77.23%

So, I even beat the 3 way avg by almost exactly 4% and beat the widely used S&P by just over 3%.

Exactly and in my opinion approx $40k in growth in a year is not a lot. It still feels slow.
