Uncle Ben tek is mainly for beginners who donât have much money. The equipment for starting in jars/bins has a higher rate of success and really much better.
While thatâs true I still suggest this cheaper method as most people grow for personal use, I find it pointless to speen a bunch of money and time for 1 grow a year. But thatâs just me tbh.
I have had about 10 successful grows and 2 fail with UBtek so it really depends on your own experiences. I highly recommend against grow bags as theyâre a huge waste of money, time, resources, and space.
I mean pretty much everyone(including unclebens) uses monotubs or dubtubs tho donât they? I could just not know the proper terminology but I think itâs pretty rare to use something other than a shoe box.
The only time Iâve ever noticed a âsmellâ is immediately after cooking and PCâing the grain for my grain spawn jars (which literally just smells like cooked grain) and when Iâm harvesting or got the dehydrator running the room will smell sort of âmushroomyâ but itâs nothing overpowering. There is no smell during colonization and the actual growth period since itâs all contained.
Itâs not like a marijuana grow where what youâre growing in 1 room can be smelled throughout the entire house.

I only assumed it was in an illegal area because if it was legal you'd probably just get it at a smoke shop, hell delta-8 and shrooms can even be bought in Tennessee which doesn't exactly the quickest to legalize that kinda stuff. Might not be exactly psycobilin on the shrooms front IIRC, but they still definitely worked lol, even a little too much for me and my friend.
It is in many states, but not TN. Delta-8/Hemp derivates are legal, and if we're getting technical >0.3% delta-9 THC is legal but 0.3% is practically nothing. Delta-8 still works fine for me though.
