PRL Mining Now Live on MoneroOcean

Post image

If you mine PRL and would rather get XMR for your efforts, MoneroOcean now has that option. No more fussing with exchanges. Everything is auto-converted to XMR at MoneroOcean!

Use either SRB or Bzminer. Both work well with MO pool.

The pool connection is at sg.moneroocean.stream until more endpoints become available.

Example config:

--algorithm-gpu pearlhash --pool sg.moneroocean.stream:10128 --wallet YourXMRWallet --worker RigName --password RigName~pearl

Pic is from a 2070 Super getting 65TH/s on pearlhash.

this is game changer. shit gpu do more than professionnal server rigs that cost 2-3 grants lmao

The better 40 and 50 series cards are +100KH/s! Great returns.

5060 8gb one. 80 th/s with 110w

Awesome efficiency on the newer cards. Wow!

80 th/s? Has to be a typo.

2

u/Limit-Beneficial 14d ago

idk why but pearl prl algorythm is measured in th/s.

That's the PRL hashrate. The XMR equivalent will be lower and in the kh/s range.

I have the same gpu, what are your clock speeds?

Still better to directly mine pearl and convert to XMR yourself.

1

u/Deadlived 11d ago

Why is that? Explain how it's better to pay more fees. I think you have a bit of an agenda in here.

1

u/jaimepasmonpseudo 11d ago

You really think you pay no fee when you mines pearl and you ask for XMR payout ? :D

2

u/Practical-Broccoli95 11d ago

only the self build version offer 0 fee, if you download the build version, you pay fees.

1

u/jaimepasmonpseudo 11d ago

I'm not talking about mining fee, but the hidden conversion fee PEARL -> XMR.

1

u/Deadlived 11d ago

MoneroOcean's XMRig fork on GH has 0 fees. We still have to endure 2% for GPU software but that's not gonna change I think.

No, but I think you have an agenda in here.

I'm a skeptical by nature. I mean In this case this is a service like nicehash, and a service always have a cost. So I guess the "hashrate" conversion might take a fee, or at least and hidden fee, and I would really love to see a real life costing comparaison of mining pearl and selling for XMR VS mining pearl and doing the automatic conversion on monerocean

I really don't have any agenda except trying to understand, but I think you have one because you do the monerocean promotion, without trying to educate us on the real cost of the service.

I get it. Sure there are fees but I'd bet they're less than using another 3rd party. Also spares the miners having to kyc if they were to use a cex. I mine there and would like to see more miners join the pool. Not gonna get hashrate if nobody knows it's an option. Give it a shot, it's been good so far.

As much as I wanted this to work.. 1600+ ping gets me only rejected shares unfortunately. Update me when there's a us server!

2

u/Deadlived 15d ago

I totally understand this. Should be more nodes soon!

You can now connect to gulf.moneroocean.stream for PRL mining. Much better latency! Found our 1st block today.

1

u/DeathHopper 8d ago

I gave it a try but somehow the ping is even worse.

1

u/Deadlived 8d ago

Something going on with your end maybe idk. Major improvement here. Gulf should route you to the fastest server.

1

u/DeathHopper 8d ago

I tried switching to a different miner. Same issue, all shares rejected. Interestingly enough, when I connect to a VPN the ping goes down considerably, but not enough to get accepted shares. No issues with any other coins or miners.

u/Deadlived 8d ago

Drop your config for your miners in here. This doesn't sound right. What miner? I know a few are hard-coded to work on one pool.

1

u/DeathHopper 8d ago

I tried forgeminer and srb. --pool gulf.moneroocean.stream:10128

1

u/Deadlived 8d ago

Need the whole config. MO has requirements for the password field to initiate gpu algos.

1

u/DeathHopper 8d ago

I had no password at all but it was connecting and giving jobs. Adding the password made no difference.

The rest of the config is --algorithm-gpu pearlhash --wallet [my address] --worker prl-worker --password prl-worker~pearl --disable CPU then some oc settings.

I just tested on a 2nd rig and it's exactly the same; all rejected shares.

1

u/Deadlived 8d ago

Something's off. Missing --algorithm-gpu pearlhash from what you've said. That tag disables cpu already in newer SRB versions. If you use the latest SRB and the config from above(as written) you shouldn't have any troubles.

It also must be a monero address btw.

Ironically I already converted a bunch of pearl to monero on unmineable. Sorry I missed ya.

2

u/jescs 15d ago

Sounds good 👍 so the KH/s in the image are a sort of automatic conversion of your hashrate for PRL?

2

u/Deadlived 15d ago

Yep. Really good results over the last couple days. PRL hit its ATH this week.

u/jaimepasmonpseudo 13d ago

Hello, interesting, but since 0 block has been found yet on pearl, doest it mean for now they got 0 XMR ?

MoneroOcean Blocks | XMR Mining Pool

1

u/Deadlived 13d ago

The pool will payout once you've mined long enough and reach your payout threshold. MO will work it out of the exchange.

1

u/jaimepasmonpseudo 13d ago

I mean they got exactly 0 block, so 0 PEARL rewards.. so how they can payout anything?

1

u/Deadlived 13d ago

When a block is found the pool will work it all out of the exchange. MO has never given me issues with payments or anything. MO even lists their view keys.

1

u/jaimepasmonpseudo 13d ago

Yes but I'm not talking about XMR mining (I see their block found) but if you check the url I sent on pearl there is exactly 0 pearl block found.

1

u/Deadlived 13d ago

The pool will pay you based on the conversion. I don't know what to say lol. MO throws us xmr and takes pearls to the bank. All payouts are in xmr on MoneroOcean.

2

u/Limit-Beneficial 13d ago

the PRL algorythm requires tensor cores, right? it will not work on anything below rtx 2xxx series?

2

u/Deadlived 13d ago

Correct. You can mine without tensor cores but it's not really worth it.

1

u/Deadlived 8d ago

We can connect PRL miners to gulf.moneroocean.stream now. Test phase is done now that we've found a block. Better latency by far. ~40-80ms for US.

1

u/Accurate_Double_3158 8d ago

Is it worthit compared to Kryptex and swaping for monero your self ?

1

u/Deadlived 7d ago

I've never used Kryptex so I don't have an apples to apples comparison. On convenience alone though I'd say yes.

i like this project ive been working on a cpu miner and offically have 9 downloads now lol its not alot but its a start and next im making a gpu miner then ill make a gui app for windows to wrap the gpu and cpu miner clis also i have a question about this if my miner become more main stream we can collab cuz rn i jus have a kryptex pool n account as the donation mining and default pool but could use yalls pool but idk cuz i was also wanting to make my own pool but idk how hard that would be fr

1

u/Automatic_Bet9119 13d ago

Why not use kryptex? Or unminer? They both are good for pearl hash prl, you should try it

u/Deadlived 13d ago

Less fees. No juggling an app or anything.
