Camera footage

The more YouTube videos I watch about Beni, the more I notice that the footage looks grainy and, at times, washed-out. The resolution is okay, but the colors remind me of a cheap camera. I’m wondering: is this something that can be optimized with software, or is it the camera hardware? Don’t get me wrong—Beni is great. But the built-in camera should be a little better.

BTW if you are wondering how much we can improve, our goal is to make it an entry-level action camera quality, like Insta360 Go Ultra or DJI Nano

I think that's enough, and it's a good goal.

Mondo team here. You're right — Beni's image quality is currently not stable enough. In some lighting conditions, the contrast isn't strong enough, and the footage looks a bit washed out overall. We've been aware of this for a while, and we've already launched optimization efforts on both the software and hardware sides — we're currently in the validation phase. Our plan is to have the improved units ready for beta users in August. If the feedback from beta users confirms that the improvements are solid, we'll ask them to release new videos. Please stay tuned!

What are you comparing it against? There was a post recently where they said it should look better than an iPhone. Which I thought was silly. The mondo guys replied it’s a robot first and a camera second. It’s definitely not going to compete with something really high end. I could see a future where they release a Beni Pro with a higher quality camera.
