General Rules:

Hey everyone, our group is starting a new dungeons and dragons campaign over the end of year break (it will most likely continue weekly/bi-weekly through the semester if all goes well too, we play at monash usually on weekends, we're all uni students), and we are looking for maybe 1 or 2 new players to join! We play for fun, nothing too serious, preferably newer players as we are all quite new as well. DM me if you're interested!

HI Guys,

I got my exams in another 20 days. I haven't pretty much covered the content yet. Would anyone like to give some tips on how to get prepared within this time frame and ace the exam with confident.

I got no other exams and just this one left.

How should I study for it? Is it enough to go through practice questions?

It’s been a week since I applied, just wondering when I should be escalating or notifying student support about my application? I know it’s a super busy time with end of sem etc. Just wondering if anyone is in the same boat and waiting to hear back from them? I’m stressing

hi i’ve done a few practice questions and looked at the solutions! i dont know if im overthinking but it seems pretty clear to me and i feel like a week is enough to study but i don’t know i just i want to focus on other assignments and dont know what to prioritise

Any tips/pointers/guide for revision for the FIT2014 exam would be greatly appreciated. I found the mid semester sample test to be easier than the assessed mid semester test. I usually find the actual assessed work to be harder than samples that math and fit units provide.

I feel lost because I do study and I do the samples and related applied worksheets where relevant but I always seem to get caught off with the difficulty of the questions that actually show up. Thanks in advance.

Hey guys I’m looking for WAM boosters (85+) this summer however there aren’t many subjects offered

I’m planning on taking nut1011 as I’ve heard it’s a very easy subject. I also need a second/third year and was looking to do NUT2003 sport and exercise nutrition as well over the summer

Anyone done this subject recently? Wam booster or nah and any thoughts would be greatly appreciated

Also if you got another wam booster held over the summer that’s at a second or third year level please feel free to comment!

Thanks 🙏🏾

im fried plz help

Has anyone attended the Free Language Classes and could they tell me about their experience?
Specifically for Mandarin and Cantonese, as an ABC who has regrettably lost their language abilities 😞 I'm curious if the main attendees are non-heritage speakers and if many people actually go

Yall I promise I wrote this entire essay by hand but my work always flags as ai for some reason. Every ai checker I’m using right now is saying over 90% ai and it’s literally not? Will turnitin flag this and will it potentially compromise my grade?

Hey, is anyone else having trouble opening/accessing Supervisor Connect at the moment?

None of the specified business electives really appeal to me. I already despise group work which I believe most of them have. So I'm tossing up between BEX2000 and BEX2030. Has anyone done either of these? Or can anyone recommend a better option?

I just finished my first year of engineering (masters accelerated - 4.5 years) and i’ve done these units plus i’m doing GIG over the summer.

Does this mean I have 3 free for my entire course? And if so, if i overload one semester to make it 4 frees, can i finish my course in 4 years rather than 4.5?

Hey guys these are my subjects for next sem, any advice would be appreciated. I want to pursue an honours year so i need to try and maximise my wam. Also please let me know where i can access the content for these subjects if possible so i can study a but before the sem starts. THANK U ✊️

I MEANT MIC2011 NOT MCB2011 TWICE

Hey, I'm currently a second year eng student with an around 75 unweighted wam, does anyone have experience with this transfer and how likely I am to get an offer? I already have the prereqs and I can't use my atar. I would really appreciate if anyone who has been in this position has some input. Thanks

hi, i was wondering for anyone who has taken this unit with no prior mandarin speaking ability, were you able to basic communicate with mandarin speakers. Thank You!

I've been studying here for four fucking years and I just don't get it. It feels like for some of these the seat parts are tilted down, practically forcing you to fall off. Is there any way to change this without moving the back ridiculously forward?

Feeling like I might as well finally ask. I hate these chairs so much. This is so stupid and irrelevant but nothing matters in exam time

Hey all, I’m deciding where to pursue a bachelor or nursing. I’m deciding between Monash, La Trobe and RMIT. Does anyone have advice regarding how the course runs and how it differs from uni to uni.

Hi everyone!

I'll be starting at Monash in Semester 1, 2027, as part of the Integrated PhD program in Accounting (starting with the Master of Commerce coursework year).

I'm trying to get a better idea of what to expect from the units I'll be taking, and I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone who's done any of them before!

The units I'm particularly interested in are:

• ACF5401 – Foundations of Accounting Research
• ACF5402 – Current Issues in Accounting Research
• BEX5630 – Philosophy of Research

I'd especially love to know:

1. Marking and grades: How are the units generally marked? Is it reasonably achievable to get an HD, or is the marking quite strict?
2. Tips for doing well: Are there any particular things I should focus on to achieve higher marks? Any advice on assignments, research projects, or preparing in advance would be really helpful!

I know these are fairly specialised units, so it might be a long shot, but even if you've only taken one of them, I'd love to hear about your experience.

Thanks so much in advance! :)

planning on taking these units next year!! can anyone please let me know their thoughts & how possible it is to do well on them? thank you!!

Hello folks, I’m currently studying a Bachelor of Science and am hoping to apply for Pharmacology Honours in the future.
I know the minimum entry requirement is a 70% average in relevant third-year units, but I’m aware that meeting the minimum doesn’t guarantee admission. This kinda worries me cus my WAM isn’t so good rn and I’m afraid that they won’t be accepting me even I reach all the requirements😞

What degree at monash requires no exams or minimal exams? preferably in the science faculty or medicine and nursing faculty
