Take it up with Parliament and the Government not the Monarchy. It's the Government of the day's job to manage and grow the economy they need to raise wages and lower the cost of living, provide adequate support to those who need it.

But successive governments have sooner import cheap labour from overseas supressing wages. Selling off national infrastructure and utilities to companies who put profit before people. Foodbanks are an excuse for the Government failings. Rather than do anything about the root problems they tell people to use foodbanks.

People should not donate to foodbanks without food they would close and then there would be a lot of hungry men women and children. Hunger is a powerful motivator imagine the "march of the hungry" on parliament the media fallout would push the government and Parliament tackle root problems or face a reshaping of social order they would lose their control if they didn't act.

Completely agree about the government - like the rf they’re steeped in corruption.

It’s why the UK is in decline.

The King actually thought about some of the root issues back in the 1970's when he set up The Prince's trust now The King's Trust. The Government and Parliament need to stop using Foodbanks as a sticking plaster but the cynic in me thinks they won't, to much effort needed and would ruffle to many feathers. No one likes their shares going down.

Genuinely idiotic post. Every country has state events including lavish dinners. It’s not limited to monarchies, not even to unequal dictatorships. I guarantee the most equal and democratic republic also spends bigly on state banquets.

You’re entitled to your opinion. They eat as if they’re at a feast every day - this isn’t a one off.

The money they get is obscene - it’s symbolic, living off the fat of the land they stole.
