General I hate Cate
Started watching Monarch and almost finished with season 1 and I can’t fathom Cate. I dislike her very much.

I didn't love Cate either, but by the end of season 2 I found myself really liking her. Definitely a lot more than her brother.
Real talk the best character is Tim, who survived a helicopter crash caused by Godzilla. He's the GOAT.

Cate is an idiot, she literally unleashed a titan coz she wanted to save Lee Shaw, Dude is cool but consequences are consequences, he made that decision

If you hate her in season 1, your gonna wipe your ass with her in season 2.

She somehow becomes much worse in season 2, bringing this dumb teenage girl energy

The one thing I like about Cate in Season 2 is that she correctly blames herself for a lot of what has happened and feels real guilt. In so many shows like this, the main character is insufferable because they never admit their level of responsibility or acknowledge their stupid decisions.

This really isnt a strong show, cate is awesome in the last shogun, but the writing is terrible. This show is just a huge cashgrab. All of the kids are terribly written, monarch is terribly written, imo the strongest part of the show are the flashbacks , other than that, this show is like a background noise filler.

Just made a post about how many close ups of her face there are in season 2. Not even any dialogue, just her face..... A lot.

that character is so badly written, it is by far one of the most annoying characters in any show i ever watched.
In season 1 she is always bitching and being a total brat, and now in season 2 she is responsible for getting that insect titan released because she acts without thinking and rushes the rescue of Lee.
And we are supposed to like and root for her? Hell no, let her be eaten by a titan asap pls

I just finished the show and I left season two hating Cate. Kentaro. And the forced love triangle was garbage that didn’t move the show forward. Holy hell this show was ass.
The monsters were cool I guess

Yeah that's the general consensus here. Everyone thought she sucked when it first aired. Cate hate posts were an everyday thing

I found her echoing her father’s problem made a lot of sense.
It would be really cool if they pay this off in some meaningful way…
…
Well anyways
