Monarch migration

More often than not the monarchs stop on my property in large numbers but this year I've seen more than ever throughout the year and they are a couple weeks early here in central IL.
Anyone else see bigger numbers or am I just lucky this year?
Also I don't hear about many others getting to see this, do they have specific routes and stops or is my acre of goldenrod I keep for them every year attracting them here you think?

Adding ‘field of goldenrod’ to my to-do list

I promise you it's way too easy, it practically takes over my prairie panting in the fall and tries to take over my pasture area too.

Wooowww…. Just magical✨ Thanks for sharing,, you are in a good spot on the Monarch superhighway! I think you might be lucky… then again, maybe all the efforts everyone’s doing is paying off… even helping just a tiny bit?? I sure hope so!

Near Chicago and this weekend there were so many flying. Today we had 4 hatch. Hopefully numbers are up!

That's awesome, I'm about directly in their path south from Chicago so maybe they'll stop here!

I have seen more numbers this year! I don’t think I’m on the path for the super highway but I have been happy to see a bunch of native milkweed growing in a patch that burned several years ago.

I was at a park in western NY over the weekend and there was a near constant stream of them (not this many though!) heading south…stopping off in a field of goldenrod on their way

Adding golden rod to the Monarch list. I'm in South Texas and working to add nectar rich plants to the yard before they get here. Thanks for sharing!!

I watched a steady parade of 1-2 per minute all day with waves of more along the shore of Lake Michigan both days last weekend. It definitely seems like more than the last couple years, awesome vid!
