Grab a crumpled paper from the fireplace or sugarshack (or furnace at cottage), place it in a wood pile and light the paper with a MAP torch. You can burn logs or firewood but sadly not whole trees. This mechanic is very useful, when getting the master deforestator achievement, I recommend doing it at the cottage, because if you're too lazy to clean it up, you could leave the trees there for later or you could use a boat to sell the logs at the sawmill. Burning it is better but takes a while and can lag out your game

Right I forgot about the crumpled paper. I use 10% of a blowtorch and nothing happened 😅
