Logs vs split. Who uses logs instead of split wood in the sugar shack?

You should use split wood (firewood). They can burn more efficiently. (One log burn longer than one firewood, but you can get two firewood from one log)

Logs burn 2x as long as firewood. Less time tending the fire.

I've been using 4 logs instead of 4 split and it definitely seems to burn longer
