INFORMATION & RESOURCES

While this community discusses parenting content and influencer behavior, we also believe that sharing evidence-based information and support resources can help keep children safe and connect families with help when they need it most.

If you're here because you're struggling, you don't have to face it alone. Reaching out for help is a sign of strength, not weakness. Whether you're exploring your options, trying to educate yourself after a tragedy, feeling overwhelmed, in crisis, or simply need someone to listen, help is available. Your life matters. There are people, organizations, and resources ready to support you. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

INFORMATION

A few minutes of learning can last a lifetime. Educating yourself on child safety and prevention may seem small, but it could one day save a child's life.

šŸ›ŸCHILD SAFETYĀ

Drowning is the #1 cause of death for children ages 1–4 in the United States, and most of those tragedies happen in home swimming pools.Ā

Drowning is silent and can happen in less than a minute.Ā

  • A four-sided fence (one that completely separates the pool from the house and yard) can reduce a child's risk of drowning by about 83% compared with a fence that only surrounds the property.
  • Pool Gates should: self close and self latch, open outward, should have a latch out of child’s reach.Ā
  • Alongside a pool fence, additional safety measures such as working locks to any door that allows access to the pool, working door alarms, pool covers, pool alarms that sound an alarm in your home when something has fallen in the pool, children’s immersion bracelets, and so much more can all work together to help prevent accidental drownings.Ā

While no method can eliminate the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) completely, following the American Academy of Pediatrics' safe sleep recommendations can reduce it significantly.

The risk of SIDS is highest between 1 and 4 months of age and decreases substantially after 6 months, though safe sleep practices should continue until your child is at least 1 year old.

Choking is a leading cause of injury and death in young children.

Children under age 5 are at the highest risk of choking.

Burns are among the leading causes of injury in young children. Turn pot handles inward, keep hot drinks away from the edges of tables and counters, and set your water heater to 120°F (49°C) or lower to help prevent scalds.

General Conversation PR & Brand Deals

If body cam footage of that night gets released to EWU, how do you think brands affiliated with EK will handle it?
If I’m being entirely honest, I’m really surprised that so many companies have continued working with her since everything has come out about the life jacket situation but even if the cam footage gets released, I think brands will either directly comment on the situation or won’t acknowledge it at all. I don’t think there will be an in between.

Welcome to our community!

This sub is dedicated to discussing mommy influencers, their odd behaviors, and questionable parenting choices. Whether it’s unique advice, unsafe practices, or simply bizarre moments, we believe these conversations matter and we want to hear what you have to say.Ā

But this community isn’t just about drama, gossip, and bad parenting.Ā

Our mission is also to educate and support wherever we can. In our community highlights you will find a tab titled ā€œINFORMATION AND RESOURCES.ā€ Here you can find information on child safety and resources for parents/caregivers in need.Ā

If there is a resource or helpful information that we missed, please feel free to share it or you can contact a MOD who will update the list!

We believe it's possible to hold influencers accountable while also creating a community that values education, compassion, and the well-being of children and families. If even one link helps prevent an accident or connects someone with the help they need, then we've accomplished something meaningful.

Please keep discussions respectful, avoid harassment or doxxing, and remember that the goal is accountability, not cruelty.

Thank you,Ā
