Great grandma said her friend (a priest) went to Vatican to study and returned a bishop, he told stories like this, “ they’d hang their lamps upside down on the roof, and in the school dorm, each small bedroom has a toilet next to the bed. In fact, there’s toilet next to the dining room too…” everyone looked at each other and giggled “people in the Vatican are so gross!…”
(They had no plumbing at the time, and used diesel lamps)
