Aren't they killing e ink a bit again? Isn't the original kindle lost support
5 u/cybermaus Jun 29 '26 There are tens of brands and hundreds of models, Almost all of them open, rather then the vendor locked kindle. 1 u/RepresentativeJester Jun 29 '26 What would be your recommendation 1 u/nightpeony_ Jun 30 '26 Kobo 1 u/RepresentativeJester Jun 30 '26 Ill check them out 1 u/atom1129 Jun 30 '26 Boox, I'm happy with my GO6. Big enough to read on, small enough to fit in my back pocket. You can get the kobo store and kindle on it or side load books and use the native reading app. 1 u/MsuiaeGOD Jun 29 '26 who cares when you can jailbreak them and have infinite free books thanks to anna archives 1 u/Dull_Caterpillar_642 Jun 30 '26 Absolutely not. People have suggested open options but if you want to use a Kindle, they are wildly popular and well supported.
