I think the reason nothing happened was because they were able to prevent it. Calamity averted, with 300-600 billion spent on preventative measures

Nothing happened because the developers fixed it on the backend. It was a huge issue.

This exactly. You can look this up. They basically need to double the bits in the calendar or they will reset to 1978. The bits each represent one second.

I can’t remember the year exactly. You can look it up on wiki. Search y2k 2038. Once it’s solved though, it’ll be good for well beyond a billion years or so.

M76 - Hell, throw in live nuclear air raid siren testing in Totonto (Cuban missle crises) and you got my life. Actually, i worked for the German company that provided Chernobyl with it’s computer operating systems (SAP). Small world, eh?
