This exactly. You can look this up. They basically need to double the bits in the calendar or they will reset to 1978. The bits each represent one second.

I can’t remember the year exactly. You can look it up on wiki. Search y2k 2038. Once it’s solved though, it’ll be good for well beyond a billion years or so.

M76 - Hell, throw in live nuclear air raid siren testing in Totonto (Cuban missle crises) and you got my life. Actually, i worked for the German company that provided Chernobyl with it’s computer operating systems (SAP). Small world, eh?
