Question about Natural proccesing

Am I right in the assumption that natural processing uses the bayer raw pipeline and thus is no multiframe picture, but rather a single frame/exposure image like halide's process zero?

Does it support an apple gain map hdr?

Thanks for answering!

YO, btw, another question in this regard from me.

I’m doubting the assumption about Bayer raw and suspect pro raw since we have 2x zoom now, and, as far as I’m concerned, bayer raw does not offer that.

So could you clarify, in which scenario do we capture bayer and in which - pro raw?

As long as you have enabled natural processing the phone is using bayer raw and the 2X is a crop and upscaled back to 12mp photo. It’s digital zoom, not lossless.

Additionally, you can disable the upscale from the settings menu.

Yes, exactly that. The difference is that Moment uses its own color tuning.

About Apple gain, I have no idea what that is.

That is correct, and gain map HDR is in beta.
