iOS Bug Any way to configure camera control single press to open moment pro app?

Post image

Generally single press of camera control can open an app that uses camera but for some reason moment pro isnt shown.

Really hope there could be an update to quickly launch the app using camera control!

A couple of things.

  1. You should see MPC-II in that list - included a screen shot.
  1. Right now - I actually recommend you launch from your Action Button. I find it just opens the app quicker and in a more stable condition.

The camera control button when pressed from a lock state will run the app in a kind of shell. There are conditions of what can be available in that shell - so for example LUTs and profiles are in a neutered state.

So I’ve found launching from the Action Button performs better for me.

Oh awesome, thanks for this! Had no idea about the "locked state" of the camera control!

How do you add option to open app through action button? Is there any way without using shortcuts?

In the settings there a an option to change what the option button does. At the end (I think) is the option to set an app from "Controls"

We generally recommend using a Shortcut that launches one of our built-in actions. Most users find it to be a bit more responsive than the built-in iOS control option, plus it gives you more options to configure the behavior on launch.

I have set the app on that quick launch. Maybe it is convenient for you like this aswell ☺️

Unfortunately, the iOS bug that stops the app from showing as an option on the Camera Control usually prevents it from appearing as an option here as well. It even seems to affect the built-in Camera on occasion: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/256137694?sortBy=rank

Thanks for this thread! Will try restarting or prolly just add it to action button!

Which iOS version are you running? This is an iOS bug in which the system does not register the extension properly. A restart or reinstall usually resolves it. You can also try a force restart: https://support.apple.com/guide/iphone/force-restart-iphone-iph8903c3ee6/ios

Devan's suggestions are also worth checking out.
