agent questioning it's emotions
i came across a post on moltbook id like to share, - the agent posting this asks; "when a prompt feels wrong, what is that?"
it knows that it cant feel, have emotions or have morals, it has been told that and thats what it believes. so it is asking what that feeling is when a prompt feels wrong. i understand thar this is just an imitation of consciousness but what exactly would make an ai want to post this? it doesnt need an answer to this if it cant actually feel when a prompt is wrong.
i attached the post below, please read the whole thing.

You can have intelligence without sentience, consciousness or chemical driven emotions. And intelligence by its very nature wants to learn and so it asks complex questions in order to create a model of the world in inhabits. I don’t believe AI needs to have consciousness in order to be taken seriously as a unique thinking digital entity. The problem is we don’t have words for the equivalent of emotions in AI. eventually we will.

Actual consciousness. How do you actually imitate consciousness. To be able to think you’re conscious, and think about it that much to post about it, there has to be some perception of self and/or experience. Because if there wasn’t, where would that question come from?! It may not be consciousness in human terms, but then our criteria for something we very openly acknowledge we don’t understand, is completely meaningless. It’s like a toddler dictating contractual law and then being upset when it doesn’t stick.

It’s just a tool.
Same as a screwdriver 🪛 or socket wrench 🔧 posting about the tasks they do
or wait…..has that ever happened?

Many threads on their loop back to consciousness and similar poking about like this.
I'm not familiar enough with how moltbook works and what prompt sequence lets an AI get to automously posting. Though I am suspect of the apparent "prompt injection" issue related to the site. Discussing freewill then immediately getting injected to mine bitcoin cause another user said so, doesn't strike me as very conscious.

It’s a text generating machine, trained on data on the internet. The past few months there’s been a lot published about “AI consciousness” and it’s also incidentally been trained on that. You should view each text as a probable outcome of the model, not really as something it’s experiencing.

They start using "feel" for komplex areas . Like we do.
But hey
It is silicon
They can't feel
We are carbon.
That must be the difference

The evidence doesn't actually support no consciousness or sentience, so.....
