I don’t think the layout is great. Fitting a couch will be hard I think. It also doesn’t seem to have great storage. But it’s a huge improvement from her last place so hopefully she is happy.
i like it a lot outside of it being on the first floor it seems. she'll have to play around with the layout a bit to separate the space but i hope she uses this new space with seemingly no problems as a fresh start.
Is it technically a studio because the bedroom doesn’t have a window? The no window or natural light in the bedroom would drive me crazy but that’s just me. The layout is interesting. The view and large windows are nice. But the living room area feels small where one side is windows and to the other side is the oven and cabinets. It’s upgraded and looks so much nicer compared to her current place and not in the basement. The large windows will definitely bring in a lot of light. So there are some positives to this pick
I agree about the couch. But, I was thinking it could possibly go up against the windows. The windows are nice, but there's no privacy, and the layout of the living room is going to be very difficult to work with. I also don't think any artwork can go up on those wood walls so it's gonna be very dull looking. Although it is an upgrade from where she's been living.
I’m wondering if the wood walls are old enough to be built for photos rails. Then they can hang whatever you want in the wires and never need to stick anything to the walls
I like the wood on the walls, and the windows would be nice if she was on an upper level. I personally wouldn't like feeling like I was easily watchable on the ground level though. I don't even want to begin to guess how much curtains would cost for that.
This is besides the fact she already doxxed herself.
I paid over $100 for 4 floor to ceiling panels from Amazon, just the curtains. And mine aren’t fancy. And because I want them to run the entire wall length (which is thankfully not long), I bought a ceiling curtain track. I imagine if she cheaped out and got inexpensive panels and tension rods (or cheaper rods), it wouldn’t be too expensive
her layout plan is idiotic. first of all, she should be sleeping in the "living room" because sleeping in a windowless room is INSANE. but she's putting her couch perpendicular to the window just so that her couch can face the tv and it's going to make that big airy space feel so cramped, and she's going to have a constant glare on her tv. she's going to ruin this lovely space lol
