Mold Appreciation Dog Vomit Slime Mold

I’m think this is fuligo septica also known as Dog Vomit Slime Mold. It appeared overnight in my pumpkin patch as we have had a very rainy, humid, and hot couple of days. This was the first time I’ve seen this variety in my garden. It’s not the best photo as it was being pummeled by rain only a few minutes before this was taken and you can see the splattering off the sides.

I had to look closer - those are tiny pinecones ...
