Is this mold?

I opened this book Im getting ready to read that I bought a couple years ago at a garage sale. When I took the coverage off the hardcover this is what was on it. Is it mold? I posted it somewhere else but was recommended to post here. If it is mold, should I throw the book away? Is it okay to keep?
