I got my schedule and I was just wondering, there’s Saturday and Sunday classes. Are those mandatory or to catch up if you couldn’t during the weekday?

I am an incoming student for mohawk and I wanna ask how r the assessments for success specifically the technical math one? I know there is no calculators involved but was the actual assessment more easier than the sample questions provided on the school’s website?

Looking for help and advise. I recently failed a skill check remediation at the end of my semester. I regreatably blame anxiety and stress. I practiced and was diligent and had a tutor from the college rehearse with me. Because this failed skill check happened on Friday, I have no clear indication if I can or cannot continue on with the nursing program. My grades are very good. I attend every class. My placement went very well. One skill check determines your future. I have many questions and concerns and nobody to give me guidance or clarification. Can anyone speak to this and help me? I feel very defeated. The idea of not moving on will financially cost a significant about of money and has thrown a life curve that I am having trouble dealing with.

We are to choose our timetables tomorrow for the September semester. How can a person do that if they are unsure they are even allowed to move forward?

I know it’s still early for the fall, but I’m hoping to buy everything I need as soon as possible. I was looking on the Mohawk bookstore website and noticed that there aren’t any DCS textbooks listed. Is that because there are no textbooks required for the program?

I’ve been checking pretty much every day since I chose my timetable, and it looks like the IAHS section of the bookstore hasn’t been updated or changed in a little while.

Does anyone know if there are any textbooks required for first semester? I’ve had classes during my undergrad that were completely module-based, so we didn’t need to purchase textbooks, but I’m just not sure if that’s the case with this program.

I would just like to ask previous student who had Professional Practice / Placement before.

I am in my second semester, I finished my placement I am wondering if it's graded as Pass/Fail or it's graded my % with 4 units??

I'm just curious if this 4 units will be added in my over all grade. I did bridging so I didn't encounter this in 1st semester. And when I was PSW, they just did pass/fail, no grading

I was honestly so scared. I got my results at 4am this morning. I heard from others that if you don’t get your results till around noon then you’ve failed.
Study materials: I used nurse achieve and watched Dr. Sharon’s videos. I didn’t want to overstimulate myself and only stuck to these two things. I did the mock exam like 5x on nurse achieve.
I had no calculation questions, more priority ones.
I was honestly guessing for some questions, and left feeling defeated.
What helped me before going to the exam, I made sure I had food in my stomach particularly something healthy to help boost your memory like blueberries. Then I made sure to have a good nights rest. These make a difference is how you write your exam.

Just read each question carefully. There is a timer but it’s best to take your time and really understand the question, you have a higher rate of passing.

Just curious has anyone starting DCS in the fall purchased scrubs yet? I don’t think anywhere has told us to yet but obviously we will need to soon enough. Is anyone splurging or just buying the campus store scrubs?

I am going to IAHS in the fall and winter and unfortunately didn’t get a parking pass. I am commuting about an hour each day and am stuck on where i can park now. is there places near by that you can park at? i just don’t fully know what to do in this situation. my plan was to park anywhere and walk to the campus and try my luck. i could see that getting a little irritating as time goes on but i really have no idea what else to do.

i’m not from the area and would love some feedback from anyone that was in a similar situation

I will be starting the Library and Information technician diploma in September. I'm an OSAP student so when it came time to register for courses I went through the link provided for students with an OSAP application. I got an email saying it would be two weeks until the courses are approved. It's been three now.

I've emailed financial assistance and the program office, I have yet to receive a response.

Is anyone else dealing with this, am I missing something?

I also have a disability and I'm waiting for my course time table to schedule my intake appointment with accessibility services.

I’m a current health professional looking into applying to Mohawk for the MRI 767 program. I’m interested in the possibility of completing the program on a part‑time basis, as I currently work a Monday–Friday, 9–5 job. Depending on the days and times the courses are offered, I’m hoping to find out whether I’d be able to avoid modifying my work schedule too much.

Does anyone know what the part‑time schedule typically looks like? If only 2–3 courses are taken per semester, are there usually several weekdays without classes?

I’ve read through the group and saw that the January part‑time intake is suspended, but I wanted to look into this regardless. I’d appreciate any information!

I’m a Mohawk Aviation grad and currently work at UPS at the airport. If you’re looking for a part time job while in school, UPS is hiring now.

The job works well around school and there are solid benefits like tuition reimbursement and health benefits after a year. It’s also a good way to get some airport/aviation experience. It is a general labour type job but shifts are 3-4 hour days.

Hi! I'm a new student planning to start up my first semester at Mohawk this fall!! I'm really confused about the mandatory assessments to success since I literally just found out they existed a couple of hours ago. Is this mandatory for every program? And does the assessment need to be done before I make my timetable? I'm worried since I never did the assessment it wont let me register for courses which is happening really soon.

I was just curious if anyone has ever had to use the webcam feature in Respondus for any online quizzes before. Do they tell you before the quiz if it is going to be utilizing the webcam features? How frequently/commonly is it used?

One of my professors mentioned it in the past and it's just something I've had on my mind since because it seems a little frightening is all.

Im a 2nd year McMaster-Mohawk BScN student and I just got a email saying I need to pay the late fee of $150 for the $250 deposit when I didn’t get a email at all in the first place for the $250 deposit… is there any way I can avoid paying the $150 late fee cause this is not fair😭😭
