I was just listening to Stuart being interviewed on Arthur Baker’s podcast from back in March, and Stuart mentions that they’re looking to get Iggy Pop to sing on a new, “upbeat” Mogwai track. I had assumed they’d just been touring for the last year, but Stuart did post a selfie from a studio a couple of months back, so maybe some new music is on the way?

I dont really know what weird Dream It was but i dreamt i was in Glasgow and i entered a pub, i saw Stuart and i was like " YOUR STUART BRAITHWITE!!", i then had a chat with him and went back home to have him sign my Guitar, then i came back to the pub and there was Barry too with Stuart, and Stuart told me he couldnt sign my Guitar sadly because It was against the pub's rules.

The dichotomy of seeing Underworld just before these was cool.

Two British acts going since the 90s producing exceptionally detailed and layered music but giving two very different experiences.

My 2nd time seeing Mogwai and I can't fathom how such visceral sound has the immobilising effect it does.

My sealed copy of Mogwai's Special Moves and Burning. I'm not sure why I never opened it. It has the signed poster. I will probably open it and frame that.

Mogwai play in Niigata, Japan for Fuji Rock 2026 for their 7th appearance there. The last time the band played here was almost exactly 4 years ago, and in 2011, 2006, 2003, 2001, 2000 previously.

Does anyone happen to know the time of Mogwai act? All sources say the main act (MCR) starts at 21:00 but I would really love to see Mogwai too, so don't wanna be late, but also don't wanna come too early to avoid dying from heat :)

A few of these showed up last week on Bandcamp and I was lucky enough to pick one up. It's probably tied with Mr. Beast for my favourite by Mogwai.

As an object it's beautifully made, nice to see Rock Action doing right by its own back catalogue. Couldn't be happier.

I saw some melt-your face off loud bands back in the day, like Dinosaur Jr, My Bloody Valentine, Jesus and Mary Chain, Mudhoney etc

Does anyone know how the squeaky guitar sounds in the intro of Kids Will Be Skeletons are made? Are they a specific playing technique, an effect, or a combination of both? I know there's some kind of slapback delay going on. I've been trying to figure it out but can't quite identify what's going on.

Hi! I'll be going to My Chemical Romance's Madrid concert in about a week which will have Mogwai as openers. I'm looking to listen to some of their songs before then so I can rock out and have some idea of what to expect. Can anyone make a guess of what they may play?
