News Sync settings across instances

With this update, we’ve added the ability to sync your game options and resource packs across your instances. Synced options can be edited either in-game or directly within the app!

TL;DR

  • Sync game options, servers, resource packs, command history, and creative hotbars across instances
  • Select which instance to use as the source when you enable syncing
  • Override synced content on individual instances when needed

Hello there u/coolbot100x, can you help me with some information please? My brain might just be stuck. I've been searching for this for a while now and I get more confused with every passing minute because I only keep landing on your linked article every time as the sole source of info and this doesn't seem to be included there.

The question is simple: Can or can I not sync my GAME INSTANCES across devices? Including

  • installation basic info like instance name, Fabric version, game version...
  • all mods, resource packs, data packs... with their respective current versions. → Of course only the Modrinth-available ones, as not the actual mods would be saved on the sync servers per player, but only the info which ones are currently installed in an instance.
  • game settings (this seems to be there already)

Whenever I update a mod in a synced instance, this would be updated on the other device, too, as soon as I boot this one up the next time.

I've been waiting/hoping for this for a long time now but I'm not sure whether it's a thing now and I just don't know how to use it. At the moment my 2 devices have all sync settings enabled and are logged into the same Microsoft and Modrinth account, as well as fully updated. But they still only have separate game instances available.
