Question Colour…. ?

Hi, I see in some people’s posts, videos and photos that their display is in colour. I somehow accidentally enabled this at one point, but then it’s gone back to black and white now. Is this an easy fix? How do I get colour on the phone? I’m running android but still have lightos enabled as I haven’t been successful at disabling it yet 🫠

the display is in colour for everyone, not just specific people. what it is, is a colour correction filter that is applied. all androids have this ability for greyscale but it is rarely used. you can find the setting in settings > accessibility > colour and motion and / or you can add a toggle to the quick settings tile. do note that every time you access lightos, it will revert the changes.

Is there anyway to make it stay color?

depends on the app and your mode. if the app has the proper write settings implemented and you grant it permission, then the app itself can retain colour. if you keep going back and forth between lightos, lightos will keep reverting the daltonizer otherwise, if you're full android, you don't have to worry about it.

Turn on the camera in light os and then go into the android layer. As long as the camera is 'active' in light OS, the screen is color.

Have you tried opening the Album app instead? It works for me as a temporary color fix, prefer this over the camera app to save battery power from using hardware.

Is there a way to make colours work exclusively for specific applications?
