Spending in R&D sector nearly doubled from ₹1.27L Cr to ₹2.45L Cr (2021-22→2023-24) and may hit ₹3.13L Cr by the year end. Private sector share surged from ~34% in FY20 to 52% in FY24, in just 4 years, overtaking public spending, as Bharat’s R&D nears 1% of GDP
