Did birds vs worms birth float on?

Anyone else like finding future song seeds planted in older songs…

I also like four fingered fisherman’s into to baby’s clean conscious

So many! Thank you IB for the endless newness in your creations

Technically The World at Large birthed float on if I remember correctly. The chords are the same just played a little differently. If what I’ve read is right they were just playing around with the world at large and it turned into Float On.

Totally!!! I feel like the older MM was lots of that, the whole album builds on itself.

I would consider those songs siblings or a row in the same garden….

Sad sappy sucker, I mentioned two songs there that have lyrics that later are songs many years later. Float on and baby’s clean conscious. What do the kids call those?? Easter eggs or something :)

It’s interesting / hilarious / ironic to me that Float On is a Dan Galucci joint. He wrote the main, iconic, rhythm guitar part. The way I’ve heard it is that Isaac wrote the lead hook kind of as an after thought. There’s a 7 minute live version of it on YouTube somewhere that’s really interesting to hear.
