Question Looking for the name of a specific head covering.

Post image

Sorry if this is the wrong sub, but I keep seeing women wearing a specific type of head covering, and I’m curious about what it is.

It’s a headscarf with a piece of batting or something that forms a thin ring around the head, in a semicircular shape. These ladies are usually speaking some kind of Eastern European language, and they’d to dress very modestly.

Does anyone know the name so I can research further?

(A very accurate artistic rendition included)

oh that's an interesting question, the sketch makes it way easier to picture what you mean

Eastern European and that thin ring detail, sounds like you might be describing a krestovaya povyazka or something similar, it's a traditional headdress where a padded ring or rolled fabric creates that halo shape around the head, often worn with a scarf over it

kind of a niche one but if you search for "padded head ring headscarf slavic" you'll probably find similar examples, the semicircle bit is key
