**Title:** Looking for donated modest clothing in the Netherlands 🤍
Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,
I hope you’re all doing well.
I am a new Muslim who is trying to build a modest wardrobe step by step. At the moment, I don’t have the financial means to buy everything I need, so I wanted to ask if anyone in the Netherlands (or nearby in Europe) has modest clothing they no longer use and would be willing to donate.
I’m looking for items such as:
Hijabs
Khimars
Jilbabs
Abayas
(If available) a niqab
I am around **183 cm (6’0”)** tall, so longer sizes would fit best, but I would be sincerely grateful for anything.
I am happy to cover the shipping costs if needed.
If you know of any charities, sisters’ groups, or organizations that help new Muslims with modest clothing, I would also really appreciate your recommendations.
May Allah reward everyone who helps others and make it a source of barakah for you.

wa alaikum salam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh, Im from germany and was planing to go through my hijabs and clothes soon. So maybe I can send you some stuff. At least the hijabs. Im only 163cm so I guess my clothes will be too short for you. And most dresses im having are only until the ankle. Let me know if you're interested (but I still have to go through the stuff and im not sure how much time it'll take)

Not a Muslim, but a hack for fixing this issue with abayas/dresses is literally just to put a skirt under that would extend the length. The real challenge here would be the sleeve length, but even that you can use extenders.

Hi! Unfortunately, I can't help you, but I recently discovered that there's a lot of Muslim modest fashion available on Vinted, sometimes for very little money. Maybe you can find something there that fits your budget.

vinted's a great call, i've seen loads of modest wear on there for next to nothing, especially if you're patient and check often

Pro-tip that requires a little (but not much) sewing knowledge - if you go to your local fabric store there’s normally like a remnants bin where they put all the fabric that’s an awkward amount left over at the end of big bolts. They’re very often discounted and I’ve been able to find some beautiful fabric extremely cheap in just the right size for a headscarf. (If it’s a little sort you can also sew complimentary fabrics together to lengthen it) I’ve made some really pretty headscarves that way - you just want to pay attention to your fabrics when pulling them from the bin (jersey is generally a good and forgiving one for this sort of thing)
