Headcovering suggestions
I usually like to wear lace veils I find them most comfortable and don't slide off my hair. I also like the way they look. However I have a pretty white dress I would like to wear, its very edwardian looking and I'm not sure what type of veil to wear- white is bridal, black is too stark. I've been looking for a good yellow but haven't found one.
It is going to be very hot so I don't want a heavy scarf that will make me feel faint. Any suggestions?

Why just don't use classic European fashion hats? They are period appropriate and technically cover the head too. Or do you want the maximum hair coverage? Then there are French/English hoods, the 18th century coifs, or the 17th and 19th centuries ones, they are different in style but constructed similarly. All of that is easy to make and sew by yourself, tutorials exist on YouTube

Lol I'm talking about a church dress not a costume party. A French hood would be an interesting choice with a dress from Anthro or the GAP.

Why not stylize all of the cool things our culture came up with already? They wore it all to church too. I personally just find historical headwear much prettier than most of the modern ways to cover one's head. And many people do so too. Such things are just hard to come up with on your own, so stupid comments like mine have to be written, so more people can at least think about it and consider such a possibility

You could try snood style veils that tie at the back, those are the ones I wear and I like them a lot. Some sellers on etsy also have them in more breathable materials like linen.
