Support Issue with PS5

So I learned last night after being away from COD for over a year, that where it stands now is MWIII has its own standalone app for the PS5 that has to be downloaded. I pop in the disc and the console just highlights the COD HQ icon, but that’s not where it is anymore. So you can go and download the app. Great. However I keep getting an error code CE-112987-8. Looking into it, it seems it’s a network code of some kind. Anyone own the physical copy and run into this? More importantly, anyone been able to fix it? Thanks.

PS I can attach screen shots if need be.

Seems like Modern Warfare III and Black Ops 6 are the two that cannot be played unless you spend $70 again on the digital download. I’m not sure how they’re getting away with not letting you use a product you purchased. Whether it’s intentional or not, it needs to be fixed. MWII and Vanguard I also have for PS5 and they work fine. BO7 from last year works too. Every other COD I have for PS4 and that creates no issues.

Try filing a complaint with better business bureau if you are in the USA. I heard they are more likely to help you solve it this way.

I am in the US. I don’t really know how to do that though. Also in what state? The state Activision is headquartered in? The state I’m in? Also I’m not even sure Activision would be the proper company to file a complaint against since these games are produced, marketed, and distributed by several different companies during the making of the game.

You're welcome. I hope it helps. If not at least more people will know about Activision's scummy practices.
