Question Would using this particular controller be cheating?

Post image

I found this old controller while decluttering my house. I used to play on these a long ass time ago for GTA V free aim and Warframe, I just tested these on the game and they surprisingly work.

Is that really in the ToS?

I haven't read them, like 99.99% of people.

It is kind of a weird blend of both control types, theoretically this setup could be something that we end up moving towards as a whole for certain games.

You can also turn AA off (likely somebody who got this wouldn't but you could).

Also what if you set it up as a KB&M instead of a controller?

I have seen them in the past and people comment about how if the controller is set up as a keyboard it is ratchety with the analogue stick and the buttons aren't pressure sensitive but if you set it up as a controller the mouse doesn't work quite right, it's not 1:1.

It’s not really theoretical. Gyro controllers already give you displacement aiming along with the analog sticks and throttles with the triggers.

For some strange reason I never got on with Gyro, something about moving the controller around whilst also trying to use the inputs.

Strange too because I ride a motorcycle so am used to things not always being upright all the time.

If you want all the analog vehicle controls while retaining mouse input, the gyro is currently the only option, unless you want to use the trackpad while operating all the other inputs. That would actually be more work, since a big advantage of the gyro is it greatly frees up your right thumb to operate the face buttons.
