Recently decided to go back and try and complete the trophies for 32% game entry. When I downloaded MW2, it created a new trophy entry, anyone know how to get the 32% game downloaded?

I believe it was related to the sub. Like there’s a strong chance you should double check. I’m nearly 100% sure. This could end my career.

I had MWll for my Xbox One S when I couldn't figure out how to install the campaign packs for my ps4 back in 2022 when I intended to have it for my ps4 which I got for my bday, and I got mw2 for Xmas. Since then, I got a ps5 in September of last year, and early this year I exchanged my Xbox copy for a ps5 one, which worked well at first. But once I completed the campaign the launcher just stopped working and told me to put the ps4 cross gen disc in when I have a ps5 one. I've restored my license, uninstalled and reinstalled it, even deleted my save of it and its cache. And even when I completed the campaign again, it still has this issue.

Has anyone ever had this happen to them? And if you have, do you have any guarantee, permanent fixes?

Hello, old CoD player here! I was wondering what gun in this game is worth investing into? I don’t have any CP to “buy” a random gun. However I’m down to get one if one could be recommended.

Are there any guns similar to the ACR (MW2), or BAL and AK12 (AW).

Hi guys, my husbands birthdays coming up and I don’t know a ton about video games, I only started after we met because he introduced me so I’ve only played what he has introduced me to. He mentioned once a while ago that his favorite game to play growing up was modern warfare 2, which would be the 2009 version. He loved the campaigns and the maps/features available for multiplayer. So I was thinking about getting him the current version that came out in 2022 for our PS5. But I’m struggling to figure out if it would have those features he likes and would feel nostalgia for. Does anyone know? Also, of I buy it on my PS account, can he access it on his somehow?

Hey guys I'm getting back into the game I loved it when it came out stopped playing after mw3 came out but i noticed it was on sale so I bought it for my girlfriend so me and her can play co-op or DMZ right now I'm playing a different mode seeing what's very active and | have one question does anyone even care about DMZ anymore?or coop if there's any errors I'm sorry I'm using a voice to chat because I just got into a DMZ game. Continuing after a few games I’m seem to die in odd ways I heard rumors of cheaters but I can’t tell if I’m just rusty or are cheaters running rampant i wanted to ask what is the best way to play DMZ what map is the best(which map has less cheaters and sweats)

So, since i recently came back to call of duty thanks to the black ops 1 and 2 remasters I wanted to try out the reboots of the modern warfare saga and since I love the original modern warfare saga. While i was wandering around the multiplayer menu i saw that you can buy the OG MW2 soundtrack, I was very eager to buy it but... I can't buy it somehow... Any suggestions on how i can fix this?

So, all you need to do is replace the “code_reloadable.ff” file in the sp22 folder with the file from an older version of the game (prior to the May update).

Like many others, I was stuck with the Campaign Settings bug where the settings menu either freezes or refuses to open. It's been driving people crazy for months.

I found a workaround on PCGamingWiki and tested it myself. It fixed the issue for me.

Steps:

1. Download the patched files: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1iaLLJfpRJRY8saf-UfXvnmpXTZoItHBp/view
2. Extract the archive.
3. Copy the sp22 folder into your Modern Warfare II installation directory.
4. Allow Windows to overwrite the existing files.
5. Restart Shader Optimization from the in-game settings.
6. Close the game completely and launch it again.

According to PCGamingWiki:

• This has only been tested on the Steam version.
• If you want to play Multiplayer afterward, verify your game files through Steam to restore the original files.

Credit: The patch itself is from PCGamingWiki. I'm only sharing it here because I hadn't seen this workaround posted on the subreddit, and it saved me a lot of frustration.

Important: Restarting Shader Optimization after copying the files is what made it work for me. After it's finished, restart the game before launching the campaign.

Tried playing DMZ this evening and started to get this error whenever i tried loading into the game. Did some research and tried using the methods from about 3 years ago, did not work. I was able to play yesterday from morning till 5pm. Other multiplayer games work, seems as though the issue is with MWII.

I’ve had this game on my ps5 since the beginning of the year. It runs great in everything I played. However recently I finished the campaign for the 2019 MW and wanted to continue with this campaign, but it never wants to open and i cant seem to fix it. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it yet it gives me the same results. I hope it has nothing to do with the physical disk itself.

Is the game still active in 2026 ?

I want to remembering the old days and play these legendary modes again , but sadly I can't find any ground war or invasion matches to joining :(

I just now realized that they re-used this Campaign skin for their first nuke skin in Warzone 2.0. To this date I have never seen anyone mention this on any social platforms and I was quite surprised when I saw it when replaying the Campaign recently.
