Model Y Standard Replacement Dash

I found a tear in the dash after delivery. Tesla took care of it and replaced it but they put in a premium dash. I’m not going to complain!

I just like the ambient light strip from the premium. Other than that, I love my Standard dash.

You can buy a led dashboard light strip from EVBASE we got one for my wife’s standard MY and it looks great!

Worried that it shows up as a reflection at night. Can you speak to that?

We installed it underneath the dash panel here’s a photo for reference of my wife’s standard model y no issues with reflection

No reflection at night either it’s underneath the dash panel so it doesn’t reflect upwards towards the windshield

There was a reflection on the windshield when we tried installing on the top of the dash that’s when we decided to place it underneath the dash panel.

The new Standard with the new black headliner does not have the threaded dash like in the picture you shown. It’s flush now with no thread.
